Minor hockey takes aim at abusive parents
Vancouver Island hockey parents who continue ‘overzealous’ behaviour will have their children cut from a tea
And the kids will never forgive them, nor should they. Grow up people.

Minor hockey offers plenty of positives, despite what you might hear | Simmons |
Ditto that and bang on from Toronto sportswriter Steve Simmons. Momma and I wouldn’t trade one minute of it either for all the good it gave us and our family. Your well-timed article reaffirms my faith in the game as you remind us you are among the majority of good hockey parents.

Hometown hockey: Building a rink of one’s own
If you build it, as the saying goes, they will come. So that’s what hockey dad-coach Charles Vigneault did for rinkless Boischatel, Que.
Here’s a hockey dad setting the bar pretty high for the rest of us. And good on him for giving back the grand game. Nice to hear a positive hockey parent story for a change.
From the category of stupid politically-correct minor sport, in this case hockey, policies we have this bit o’ news. Knee-jerk, all or nothing rules like this just make no sense at all. Hey coaches, don’t even think about talking to or in the general direction of your players at the risk of having them misinterpret your instructions or take exception to what you have to say. Tapping a player on the head, shoulder or back is a simply form of praise and standard interaction between a coach and his/her players. Take this away and you take humanity out of the game with it. I realize there are always a few instances where male/female or vice versa touching may be deemed inappropriate, but deal with those exclusively as needed rather than again trying to paint everything with the same ass-backwards brush. And that is all I have to say about that.

Miss Canada Becomes the Embodiment of Hockey at the Miss Universe Pageant
This is just a spectacular look….How do you not win in the ensemble?

Yup, I recognize all five of these and can probably add a few more categories including The Momma Bear, The Cheerleader (similar to The Circus Clown) and The Mole (similar to The Coach).
Any others you can think of?
