Ok, this is taking the whole Winter Classic concept a little too far as there is a minor league team proposing to play their entire 30-game home schedule at a minor league baseball stadium.

So this one is making the rounds and apparently even hit CNN this morning. The cardinal rule in hockey is once the game is done it’s done. Reminds me of a game the Boy played a few years back where the coaches refused to shake hands. This guy should be ashamed of the bad example he’s set for his players and kids in general. Sounds like he’s going to get severely punished in addition to the public humiliation. The long and short of this is Grow Up!

Wayne Gretzky rightly points out hockey played at a high level is a physical game. Taking hitting out altogether would drastically change it and methinks its appeal to most hockey fans. Womens hockey (without body contact) is a great game as well, but it is admittedy not the same. As The Great One points out, there is no reason why both can’t co-exist. #imahockey

He Shoots…He Sunk My Battleship
In a bid to garner some publicity a KHL farm league is trying to arrange a game to be played on a Russian battleship. Next week, the Chinese will be reportedly hosting a 3-on-3 tournament in space. The NHL is really gonna have to step up to the plate (no pun intended) with the Winter Classic as baseball and football stadiums will simply no longer cut it.
